So I completely tore apart the tablet figuring all along that the digitizer was the issue to which I'm hoping dust or something got in there and is sticking to it as after I put it back together the problem spot seems to be where the "o" key is on the keyboard (when sideways with the volume...

I can turn it off that way also but upon reboot, the tablet still will not unlock and the ring just bounces. If it makes any difference, the device is not rooted, and fully stock. I also forgot to mention that the volume buttons do not work so I can't perform a hard reset using them either.

I can not press the button that says it is ok to power down when it pops up on the lock screen. I have also tried the little emergency reset button on the bottom to no avail.

Put it on the charger as the other post said to with no luck. Any other ideas?

Usually, I can get the help I need just by reading through the forums, but this problem is different. My tablet turns on, the screen rotates all the way around, but when i pull the circle to the unlock position nothing happens even though the circle moves. After a few seconds of trying this...

Thanks I ended up having to leave the phone on the charger overnight before I could even boot into recovery mode. But again my wife let her phone drain out until it turned off again. Let it charge overnight and this time got absolutely no where. Took it to best buy where we buy all our phones...

Galaxy note 2 shuts itself off and will not turn back on. Plugged it in thinking the battery was drained and left it alone while I took a shower. Tried to turn it on and got nothing. Held home, volume down, and power got to the screen and pressed volume down to reboot it started up for all of 10...

So far I'm back on firefox and everything is working fine. Going through my AV logs there are a few tracking cookies but nothing major. But like said glitch seems to be fixed.

Given that I work for the government, I don't always have the money for the coolest phones so this site has been a life saver getting EOL phones like the intercept or shift to keep running and make me not want to blow a paycheck on an S3 everyother day (maybe just once a month) so thanks...

Using Firefox 17.0.1 when i click on a thread in a forum or even try to start a new thread, it actually pulls up my search engine (in this case yahoo) pointing to the particular thread that I am looking to read and it just continues on this vicious cycle until I get frustrated and quit...
