Update 11/15/17. I didn’t want to just give up on my tablet so I decided to head down to Best Buy. While there i brought a new 32 pin usb cord for my note 10.1 2012 it’s charging now, replacing the cord was a last resort it worked out for me of course after I purchase an iPad.

I am still comfortable with it even after surrendering the note 7.
