how much price did the first generation drop?

Today at Staples the 16gb was $179 and the 32gb was $199. There is a readily available $30 off coupon though that brings them to $149 and $169 (got a 32gb for $180 OTD) The 32gb is worth the extra $20. While I do like the 2nd gen N7, I didn't feel the 32gb version was worth $100 more.

    4.3 OTA

Just picked up a 32gb 1st gen today ($199 plus -$30 coupon from Staples = $180 OTD) It got the update as soon as it was finished setting up.. Now to let it install all my apps from backup.

Android Central Nexus 7 dock review

It should work with the BluRex case.

    Digital copies

I consider all the Digital Copies that come with a disc as a crock 'o crap. Get software to rip your personally OWNED movies into a playable format.

    And Yet Another Ereader Query

I don't use Moon Reader anymore, but I think I remember it actually copied books into its own library folder. Import the book into the library from the Moon Reader app and it should appear.

Nexus 7 accelerometer stuck. Help please.

You might have some luck with a factory reset. If it still has problems after that it's time to return it.

Official Nexus 7 docking station can now be pre-ordered for $39.99

It allows you to hook it into your home stereo system for audio. All you need is the audio splitter Y adapter cable. About $3 anywhere.

    Top Apps On N7

There's going to be a dozen responses each to a dozen different categories, so you might want to break it into genres like Games, Office, Finance, etc... For video on your N7, there is MX Player (N7 uses the ARM7 codec). Also nice is Dice player, but for me it is a goto only if MX doesn't like...

Is there any way I can listen to songs on youtube and use other apps at same time?

Doesn't the default music player do exactly what you are looking for? Mine will play in the background unless I'm doing something else that requires sound (games, etc)

    Toshiba Excite 7.7 $300 vs Nexus 7 250$

Thread comes back from the dead... I recently purchased an Excite 7.7 and I can say the display and build quality is on a completely different level than my N7. MicroSD is a big plus too. The AMOLED display has to be seen to do it justice. Here is a crappy cellphone pic of it beside my N7...

WILL THERE BE AN N7 2 AND WHEN AND WILL IT HAVE A rear CAMERA?

For me personally, the one big thing that would put this tablet over the top is a MicroSD slot. I would use it FAR more than any camera. I know it will never happen since Google wants you to use their cloud, but it would make the tablet so much more functional. And no, I don't want to walk...

Nexus 7 dock, live and in color!

There is a BIG plus for the BluRex case. The N7 will not have to be removed to place it on the dock.

    Screen on off app

This is me as well. I had a similar case on my Thrive and seemed to be forever hitting the edge when swiping. I have a BluRex on my N7 that doesn't obstruct the screen, but the magnet feature works properly only about 50% of the time. It almost always wakes it up, not so much putting it to...

    First android tablet

Most of the current build devices seem to be pretty much hassle free. And yes, for the money you won't find a better 7" tablet.

    Nexus 7 or... Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 ?

I have seen the Tab 2 7.0 for $150 brand new at Microcenter. That is a closeout though and when they're gone they're gone. Even so, it's not hard to find them new for $180
