is there a faster, easier way to do this when your phone is rooted? my evo 3d is s-off and rooted w/ superuser, do i really have to go through all these steps or can i just throw it on the sd card and flash it or something? any guides around for doing this with root?

i love my evo 3d but sprint is TERRIBLE coverage. there's no sense in having such a powerful phone when the 3g is crawling all over the country for sprint. it's seriously ridiculous. i would get the bionic for verizon but i hate motorola's skin over android... i love htc sense much much more...

I solved the problem. I just formatted my memory card, then I re-flashed the TWRP image in Hboot, and just made another recovery. Since it was the "first" recovery on this flash of twrp, it populated all the correct folders. NOTE TO ALL: If you plan on deleting any old recoveries from TWRP...
