Anyone else disappointed by the Nexus 9?

I feel like Google and/or hardware manufacturers have gotten a bit spooked at the race to the bottom that seems to be taking place in the hardware industry. We've reached kind of a saturation point where very good tech is getting very, very cheap, and that means there is nowhere to go if you are...

Anyone sticking it out for the Padfone Infinity?

Had a chance to play with a Padfone Infinity the other day, and it was quite nice. Build quality was very solid, bearing some resemblance to the HTC One on the bottom and an iPhone from the front, only quite a bit bigger. Edges were a little sharper than I would have liked, but overall it was a...

I personally witnessed an AT&T Rep pushing Samsung in a big way today.

Exactly, it is unlikely there is a big conspiracy against HTC by the reps, it is more likely a combination of a couple possible factors: A. Reps get higher commission for pushing the GS4 than the HTC One B. Reps believe the GS4 is easier to sell than the HTC One, and think they will be able to...

    S4 outselling One by alot

Globally HTC's biggest problem is still supply, (ok, marketing too). They are probably doing better in the U.S. because they are allocating all their resources to it, but even there, there is a 2-4 week wait for the unlocked version. In Europe, very few retailers have the One in-stock, and in...

    HTC One Version Numbers?

Can anyone tell me what the version numbers for the HTC One are for the US versions? So far, I've seen the following version numbers: 801S (HK/Singapore) LTE: 1800/2600 MHz HSPA/WCDMA: Europe/Asia: 850/900/1900/2100 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz 801N (Europe) 2G/2.5G -...

    Black Edition, rare edition?

Agreed. Black looks sexy as hell, until it gets stained by fingerprints. Still an incredible looking device, but I'm going to wait for the price on the silver to come down a little bit before I take the plunge.

    Black Edition, rare edition?

Unlocked black version is in-stock at Expansys, but only in Asia, I believe.

    HTC One for Verizon

In the Android-world, the Xperia V, Z, and ZL probably offer the best coverage, but the US and China are left out. Overall, though, the i5 CDMA version probably hits the most markets currently.

    Ouch!

A one-post blogspot blog. Seems legit.

HTC One, too large for women/girl's hands?

Here in Hong Kong, the phone of choice among females is a virtual tie between iPhones and Galaxy Note 2s, so I'd say the size isn't that big of a factor.

A HTC One with SD card support.....

I'd imagine it would work well, but you would be forgoing LTE. Curiously, the HTC One product detail page in China doesn't list exact specifications. There is a bit of a roundabout way to do it using the product comparison: HTC However, while it is slightly different from the Taiwan page (no...

The HTC One will be a hit, pass Galaxy S4 for ONE reason..

Galaxy S3 wasn't officially announced until May 3rd, after which HTC One X never passed the S3 in terms of search volume: Samsung officially announces the Galaxy S3 | Android Central Granted, you can't read too much into these graphs, but things do look at least a bit more positive this round.

The HTC One will be a hit, pass Galaxy S4 for ONE reason..

Revisiting my thread today, things maybe don't look so terrible for HTC, after all. Compared with last year, once the S3 was announced, the One X never came close to passing it up in search volume: Google Trends

Updated HTC One Camera is NICE!!!

While I wouldn't defend anyone for rushing a review of a brand new device on non-final software/hardware, Hardware Zone did at least go back and update their review to reflect the new software. The Verge has yet to update or follow-up on its "review" despite the author admitting it wasn't...

Updated HTC One Camera is NICE!!!

It is probably the biggest IT-related forum in Singapore and the largest English one in Southeast Asia. They aren't a fly-by-night operation.
