Looking for some advisement in buying a phone

I was phone/plan shopping just a month ago and was considering the Sony phone due to water resistance and the supposedly better camera. I bought a used n4 and went with T-Mobile and couldn't be happier. Most manufacturers that skin Android with their custom launcher and bloatware take way too...

Do you have to install Kitkat?

I have T-Mobile and do not pay extra for tethering but was told that tethering was allowed without any additional fees. I used it several times on 4.3 and the feature is still there (and works) after the 4.4 update. Posted via Android Central App

Google Experience Launcher for the Nexus 4

I had the same problem with my weather widget. Initially it was the wrong size and had no option to resize. After I removed it then added it back it still was the wrong size BUT the long press gave me the resize option. Hope that helps. Posted via Android Central App

Google Experience Launcher for the Nexus 4

I had the same problem with my weather widget as well. I removed it and read did it, but it still came back 3x1, but after adding it back a long press on it gave me the resize option and I could stretch it to 3x2, 4x2, 4x3 or 4x4. Hope that works for you. Posted via Android Central App

    Force Update to 4.4

So far, no issues. Gmail is coming through. Not sure how to check my device in Google Play, not seeing the option for that.

    Force Update to 4.4

I didn't read this post before making mine. Now that I have read that article and my update is in progress, I'll just have to wait and see if clearing the Google Service Framework creates any of the problems mentioned in that article. Keeping my fingers crossed!

    Force Update to 4.4

This process just worked for me! Get KRT16S Update on your Nexus 4. (Wifi download till 23rd November 2013) 1. Go to Settings -> Apps -> All 2. Find Google Services Framework. 3. Tap on Force Stop. 4. Select Clear Data. 5. Head back to the Nexus 4’s Settings, go to About, and check for a...

Yahoo email not working with Email app

Very odd because my Yahoo mail was working all day long, until I read this thread! About an hour after reading the thread I started getting the wrong username/password warning. I let it sit for a few hours and now it's working again!?! I didn't change a thing or login to my yahoo account from...

    Why should I upgrade to 4.4 ?

I'm not sure that any of the reasons you list have anything to do with upgrading the version of Android on your phone. Here are my responses to the things you list out: # I rarely used google now. Just because you update to 4.4 does not mean that you have to use it more. It's still pretty much...

Nexus 4 will not get the same kit kat!

While it upsets me, I get it. As Google makes a play at selling HW, they have to have some kind of push to entice people to buy the new HW. While I don't necessarily agree with that approach, from what I can tell the visible screen behind the buttons is not extra screen real estate, it just...

I have a Nexus 4, you have questions. Fire away.

The Facebook account is selected but the FB profile pics do not sync with the Google contacts. I went with a 3rd party app to solve the problem but I hate that this is the only option with vanilla Android. From what I read in other posts on this topic it seems that Google had a falling out...
