You can go into setting and turn off if you are really worried about battery life. settings>display>ambient display. Doesn't make a big enough difference in battery, but the execution is a little clunky unlike moto active notifications.

Customization. Stock android and Nova (prime) are night and day. Comes down to how much you want to tweak the settings in Nova and what your presences are. For me, I still use Nova, but love it even more on the 6p because of how fast it runs on top of stock android.

Nope, you need to go C to C to get 3A. A to C will still be faster than standard, but it will not deliver all 3A of power to the phone. Make no mistake, your 6p will still respond with the "charging rapidly" (or whatever it says) but it will probably be in the 2.4A range.
