For future reference... I removed the exchange account and added it back in. I also remove every permission from the stock app. That seems to resolve the issue. Plus, over the weekend, nougat was pushed out. That has made a monster of a difference in battery life on my s7.

On my AT&T/s7/6.0.1 my stock email app is using battery and data even though sync is turned off. There is an exchange account on the device, but it is just there to get my contacts to make phone calls. See pics for details... http://imgur.com/a/MxEHA I'm at a loss. Any ideas?
