Do NOT upgrade to Jelly Bean 4.1.1 until you read this

I've been following the JB update threads here for the past couple of weeks. I updated my Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 to 4.1.1 and hardly even noticed a difference in ANYTHING after the update. Was there a significant difference between the 7" and 10.1" - as far as the 4.1.1 update is concerned?

Video thumbnails - default video player - sideloaded videos

I'm working on my wife's Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 running JB 4.1.1 and have copied a dozen or so movies (in mp4 format) to the SD card. The stock/default Video Player (not the Google Play Movies player) seems to display the first frame of each movie as the thumbnail. Of course, this is meaningless...

    7 inch or 10.1 inch?

I bought a 7" Google Nexus back in September for my 5 year old. It's a great device for apps, games, watching videos/youtube, etc. IMHO - it's too small for reading. Seams to be lots of problems....

I fully agree with your comments! I have not posted anything here because I have not had a single problem with the N7 I purchased back in the late fall for my 5 year old's birthday. Overall, I am very satisfied with it and think that it's an amazing buy.

    Lock Hardware Buttons?

Nothing about disabling or locking the volume or power buttons. I'm going to email the developer and suggest that feature to them.

    Lock Hardware Buttons?

Thanks - I'm running Kid's Place (which is a GREAT app) - but it does not lock the hardware buttons.

    Lock Hardware Buttons?

Thanks - not a bad idea - maybe get a gel-case for it and simply put it on so that the openings in the case for the buttons are at the other end of the Nexus!

    Lock Hardware Buttons?

I have a Nexus 7 tablet for my toddler for use when she's in the car. The problem I'm having is that she is always accidentally hitting the sleep/power button or the volume buttons while using it. Is there an app (or other way) to temporarily disable them? Thanks for any suggestions!
