    Thanks Adamsberg, but the point of an 'offline map' is to be able to retrieve it when offline. It was perfectly possible in earlier version of Google Maps.

    Device Description : Nexus 4, Maps v 7.4.0, With some difficulty I figured out how to cache a map offline. But the trouble is, how do I retrieve it (when no internet connectivity)? Can someone please help? Thanks in advance.
