Your general thoughts on service at Sprint?

Just goes to show how wireless can produce very different experiences in even a small geographic area. I'm in the Chicago market also (about an hour out of the city) and can't drop LTE except on the second sub basement at work. I'm camped on LTE+ the vast majority of the time, and get great...

    sprint galaxy s7 network signal

Bars are arbitrary and often differ from device to device at the same dbm levels. If you want an accurate reading, download signal check pro, which will give you a wealth of info including actual signal levels.

    Problems with Sprint service

The last post was over a year ago. I would highly recommend checking for yourself in your area before making a decision.. Wireless changes quickly across all providers based on a variety of factors.

Considering switch, Pros and Cons of various carriers?

Re: good or bad That's simply untrue. They reserve the right to do so if a tower is overloaded, not all the time, or even regularly. I stream HD videos here in Chicago regularly with no issues.

What are Bands? And which do you want?

You should get band info in scp lite when available. It will show up in the provider line when applicable. With that said, pro is well worth the investment and let's you do things like putting the band in your status bar. If you're not seeing any band info in the provider line, you are almost...

Do not install 5.0 if you use Exchange...

I use gmail and Google calendar to sync with exchange on 5.0. No problems so far. I was using touchdown before but the calendar issue got me tinkering... I like this setup better now personally.

Sprint Killed My Insuarance, Any Help?

Could it be because sprint recently stopped selling the nexus 5? Since its end of life in their system's eyes it is unable to get insurance?

Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread aka Sprint Spark

That graphic won't give you that information. I can't say I've come across a map with all the 4 carriers displayed like that off hand.

Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread aka Sprint Spark

I can finally post links! This shows graphically how much spectrum each of the 4 major US carriers has all over the country. Note that the Legend doesn't go high enough to show all that sprint has (120mhz in some places): How much LTE spectrum do Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile have - and...

Sprint Tri-Band LTE Phone Discussion Thread aka Sprint Spark

It's not so much the peak speed as the overall capacity. Verizon and T-mobile don't have the ability to put 150+ speeds all over the nation, because they don't have the spectrum to do so. Sprint by contrast has enough 2.5ghz spectrum to deploy at least 3 carriers all over the nation...

Sprint to Improve 4G in Select Cities

Someone at s4gru pointed out that this was written from the same info Blomberg got. I can't post a link because of my post count but if you google "sprint planning denser spark coverage in 3 to 5 cities by 2016" it will come up. Of note are the ceos comments that they are still going to arrive...

Tethering on Sprint for home Internet?

They definitely do terminate service for excessive tethering. I can't say how the process goes, but I wouldn't count on it as a long term solution.

Sprint allegedly withdraws bid for tmobile

You can google the title and read the full article. The gist is that T-mobiles recent success is going to be difficult to keep up long term and they will need to find a bunch of cash for continued network upgrades and the new spectrum auction.

    Chicago Suburb Spark Coverage

The 800mhz LTE which gives good in building coverage is being found all over Chicago and the burbs these days. It will take a few months to optimize it, but it already makes a big difference. I've gotten it in several indoor locations where the normal 1900mhz LTE drops out. Speeds are good...
