I wanted to add to my above dismissal of the quality. I just spent some time testing with my Xaiomi Pistons and can attest the sound quality and volume is very, very good. I can't go past 60% without blowing my eardrums out. Very satisfied.

Re: Wifi calling & HAD voice works Yeah T-Mobile had always been welcoming to non branded phones taking advantage of these features. AT&T and Verizon are jerks about it. Just the way it is.

No app. It's just the stock Nougat firmware. It isn't obvious it's using WiFi but when you place a call it says WiFi calling/HD voice. Also can place/receive calls in airplane mode on WiFi. That confirms it.

Edit: title should say HD voice. Oh well. For some reason I'm surprised as everything I read prior said this didn't work. Wi-fi calling and HD Voice works just fine on T-Mobile with the unlocked G5 Plus. What a nice surprise. This phone is an incredible value.

It's just the Qualcomm integrated DAC. Sounds fine, don't expect audiophile quality.

It's the same f1.7 sensor as the S7/S7 Edge. The software is the issue. Maybe try the Open Camera app? Or pray Moto/Lenovo's engineers are able to tweak the processing to meet Samsung's coding? Also, I've noticed the images look pretty bad on the phone itself. Once you view them on a computer...

I got the 2gig one as a backup-ish. I use an iPhone. It's a fantastic phone. I mean really, really good. I could easily use it as my main device. The SIM tray design is the stupidest thing I've ever seen though. I wouldn't recommend any other phone at this price point. Period. iPhone 7+...

Word is Best Buy is willing to sell them ahead of the Friday street date. Of course it highly depends on the specific store. Worth a try. I have T-Mo and I'm 99.9% sure Wifi calling doesn't work. Shame, pass.

This whole launch has been strange. I went into Best Buy yesterday and asked the Samsung dude when they would be for sale. "We have no idea" is what he told me. Walked into a T-Mo store 2 hrs ago and bought one. Disconnect exists somewhere. Samsung's own website says "pre-register." Ok...
