    trying to restore nexus 7 2013 to original factory rom - getting missing vendor.img

    I have solved this issue using the fastboot command from the Android SDK. It appears that I had to remove the tools for higher releases via android studio first, then copy the platform-tools folder to the folder with my rom file.

    I was able to root my device, and install android 9, but when I tried to install the pico gaps for it, I received a message that I did not have enough storage available. Is there any way to further reduce the storage requirements?
