Does it sound like any other common problem? That does sound like a logical cause though.

I did this earlier and forgot to add it to OP. Did not solve the problem. Didn't even seem to affect it.

No cases or magnets nearby.

This problem randomly started about a week ago. Everything was working fine then out of no where the tablet keeps shutting the screen on and off making it impossible to even unlock the device. Then aftewards the screen will stay black and come back on later -- by itself, with no one interacting...

So I cracked my baby, and I need help using her. So normally I just plug in my mouse and can use it (mostly) just fine, but I want to be able to charge it with my computer while I use it through mobizen or some other computer-to-tablet app. Only problem is that when you plug it into the computer...

Hate to suggest it but in your case a mini-usb to usb and mouse would at least allow function of the tablet.

Can't offer a fix or solution but a temporary way to use it would be to use a mini-usb to usb and mouse combo would at least allow you to use the tablet.

N7 is great for a lot of things. A small portable computer is one of those things.
