There is a setting in the build file or somewhere in the CSC, I forget, that forces the shutter sound on. There's a law in Japan that requires the shutter sound to be at maximum volume and to be a recognizable sound... Thankfully you can muck about and find the correct setting. I'll look for...

Samsung disabled App2SD capabilities, so you have to root the phone, partition your SD card and use Link2SD (Don't bother if you don't have at least an 8GB card, and I'd recommend dedicating at least 4GB of storage to your apps... but the /data partition can still fill up if you're not careful...

I am also annoyed by the STILL total lack of attention to this wonderful little phone on AndroidCentral and XDA... Phandroid has a full forum with all the info you'd ever need. :-D
