I use it mainly for the token. I feel better not having my cc number floating around, waiting for someone to hack a store.

For the record, you can use Samsung Pay at a gas pump. While holding up your phone, slide your drivers license in and out to activate, then Samsung Pay will register as the credit card. This also works anywhere else these types of readers. Our lunchroom at work has this type of card reader...

What works best for me is to put the bottom of my phone against the reader. If it doesn't pick it up right away, try moving your phone around a little. It's kind of like wireless charging, just have to find the sweet spot. Best of luck!

I've used it in Wisconsin *2 and Ohio. No issues at self checkout, still no luck with checker.

Has anyone had issues with Samsung Pay at Walmart? I can use it fine at the self checkouts, but the three times I have tried to use it with a cashier (at three different stores), it fails, and I have to swipe manually.

The one thing I have learned is it works best if you put the back of the phone against the reader. I know Samsung shows the phone on the side, but it seems to work better when the back is there. Also, if it doesn't accept it right away, try moving around the phone.

Has anyone had issues with using their Samsung Pay at locations that have NFC? I was able to use it at most locations on a recently completed trip, but the few places it was rejected seemed to have NFC available as well. It is the only thing I can think of.
