The music controls work just fine on the wired earbuds on my Galaxy S3. (As well as my previous S1) Not sure why they wouldn't on the N5. I don't know about using your iPhone earbuds on your N5....they may not. Good luck with your new device! :) tap'n

The point is, you can't use a device in store and make a "real world comparison". Nor do any of the stores I've been in have both phones side by side for you to make a real world comparison. As well as, most people don't own both devices (other than professional reviewers like AC, CNet, etc)...

I think the 5-6 second comment is way off. You're clearly not "counting" correctly. Maybe 2-3 seconds tops from the videos I've seen. As noted, it's all about "preference". Read reviews and watch comparison videos and make your decision that way. You can't base your decision on comments...

I never considered the N4 when it came out. Simply due to its lack of LTE, poor battery life, and lower overall specs compared to similar phones that were released during the same timeframe. These issues alone severely hurt their overall sales. That said, I think the N5 is a vast improvement...

I'd go with the new flagship every two. Being the first phone to get updates has never been an issue for me since I root and Rom my phones soon as I get them, and more importantly I've never been that impressed with the Nexus phones overall. Of course the price on the new N5 is VERY appealing...
