Newsletters for mobilenations.com claiming to be from androidcentral, spoofed?

I've been getting emails saying they originate from newsletters@androidcentral.com subject, "Huawei Mate 9 Review: The best big Android phone!" with links pointing to mobilenations.com. No unsubscribe links. Is mobilenations an androidcentral affiliate? Unless someone can tell me this is an...

USB Audio / Android Auto low volume

Fixed with the latest update to Android v6.0.1 - so apparently an Android issue when implemented on my Note 4 edge, as provided by my carrier, Rogers Mobile.

Samsung admits Note incompatible with Android Auto

Both Samsung and Kenwood have basically been completely ignorant of the inner workings of Android. In fact, the Kenwood tech insists that AA works with Bluetooth Audio, whereas the AA community and tech reviewers insist it works with USB Audio. It seems to be a mystery to everyone. Samsung just...

Samsung admits Note incompatible with Android Auto

Two interesting comments: 1) 2) My understanding is that once connected, the phone switches to USB Audio for higher fidelity. Some people have contested this, but none of them had a good understanding of Android Auto. So, we have two users with a Note that reported that Android Auto works...

Samsung admits Note incompatible with Android Auto

Carrier: Rogers Wireless Version: 5.1.1 Security patch level: 2015-11-01 Again, my apologies for those with Note 5's - I am glad that you are not experiencing these problems. The rep simply said that the Samsung Note was not compatible, and would not give any more information. If I could...

Samsung admits Note incompatible with Android Auto

Well, now we know that Samsung's unqualified support statement is inaccurate. The problems (probably the specific low audio problems) don't apply to the Note 5. As I said, support would not give me ANY additional info, they just say that AA is incompatible with the Note.

Samsung admits Note incompatible with Android Auto

Since my Note Edge is basically a Note 4, it is quite possible that the Note 5 has solved the audio problem and the tech didn't know - which is actually my point. I was left to myself to solve this for six months. There was no informed help anywhere. And - as is typical for this situation -...

Samsung admits Note incompatible with Android Auto

After many months of trying to find a solution for my problem with very low audio on my my Samsung Note Edge to my Kenwood DDX9902S via Android Auto, Samsung finally told me about the incompatibility. Here is what support said: “I would like to inform you that, the Android Auto product you are...

Where is "technical" AA tech support?

I finally got word from Samsung tech support on this. It took a while. Here is what they told me, "I would like to inform you that, the Android Auto product you are referring is not compatible with the Note devices. However, I suggest you to check with the car manufacturer for the...

Very low audio on new Kenwood DDX9902S with Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

Ok, figured out the +6 offset, I didn't know that audio settings were specific to audio input type on the Kenwood. Unfortunately while the +6 offset does raise the volume, the unit's volume still needs to be turned to max to enjoy louder genre music. Posted via the Android Central App

Very low audio on new Kenwood DDX9902S with Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

This is a first for me. I haven't seen any place to adjust AA settings. Do you mean Android Settings or Kenwood head unit settings? Posted via the Android Central App

Where is "technical" AA tech support?

In fact, my problem is the exact opposite. Please, I say this with all sincerity - if you can explain how a bad USB cable would cause overall volume loss, I would be very grateful. Don't worry about firing it over my head - after decades of experience with music synthesizers, software...

Does anyone know anything about USB Audio?

I am having a hard time solving my problems with Android Auto's USB Audio, and it turns out very few people know much about it. Does anyone here know anything about it, or know of a forum where participants do know about it?

Where is "technical" AA tech support?

While I can understand that USB cables differ (besides power) the only sort of signal they should be carrying is digital. Digital signal loss wouldn't result in lower audio volume, it would result in audio interruptions, signal-loss distortion or just plain not playing. Or is USB Audio an audio...

Where is "technical" AA tech support?

No response. Other posts with similar questions earned, "have you tried another cable or clearing the cache?" with no reply. Isn't USB Audio out a digital signal? If so, why would Android support suggest a suspect USB cable would result in lower volume - wouldn't it result in glitchy or no...
