The crop option comes up for me when I have selected which icon I want to use from the gallery. It is the same as when you select an image to use as a wallpaper, it then gives you the option to crop before setting. Sent from my Nexus 7 using Android Central Forums

Hi, I am using a different launcher (Go launcher) but I have had no problems using simple text to replace my folders icons. Hopefully you can see the screen shot, I changed my Maps & Navigation folder icon using Simple Text. Same goes with app icons.
