I got mine (the 8" version) from Best Buy two weeks ago, and it also shipped with 7.0. Outstanding! No blue light filter is the only downside.

Just bought mine and love it - shipping with Android 7.0, great companion to my S7, and runs rings around my old Nexus 7. Highly recommended! Good prices right now too.

Was this direct from Samsung? Did any carriers offer this promotion? I'm with Rogers in Canada and only got my S7 a few weeks ago.

Tried Juice Defender on a previous phone and found it had little effect other than draining the battery itself. To the OP - I'm sure your "Power Saving Mode" is enabled, and all the boxes checked. This helps quite a bit in my experience - more than any app I've tried. Still not sure if...

Go to Settings > Application Manager > Music Player and disable it from there. I did the same after installing Google Music. With all this bloatware, I sure miss my Nexus S... :(
