Why on Earth is Talk to Text so Much Worse on the S10 Pie?

The S10 for example will spit out hes when I say "he's." They do know that hes is not an English word, right? What kind of software is that? Why is it so much worse than it used to be? What happrned to the underlined option to view possibilites and quickly change for example "birch years" to...

Missed calls and texts no longer appear on the Standby screen - S7, Nougat

Under Lollipop, icons would appear on the Time/date standby screen if I had a missed call or unread text. But those disappeared with the Samsung Nougat upgrade. Anybody know how to get them back? Thanks!

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

Razdul, I did put up some photos....make sure you get the Orion steadypix PRO adapter to hold the phone steady. Camera FV5 is better than the standard Camera app, even in Pro mode. You can take shots that literally amaze your friends, and you have them right there on your phone! The people...

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

No real argument, Alanhd....actually I think I might jump over the camera and go right to a ccd that you insert in the eyepiece....endless money, of course, but look what you get. Post some of your shots - love to see them!!!

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

Check out what's possible with the S7- and I'm just getting started! You can do wonderful things, and it's fun.

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

Nah, I was complaining about something they TOOK AWAY for no good reason - that's not a dumb complaint. I'm glad they put some of it back - look at the photos!!!

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

DanTheMan86 and all: I’m pleased to say Samsung did address some of what I was complaining about, and made available longer exposure shots and the functionality apps like Camera FV5 need. So I’m able to get shots like this one of Orion (10 sec., ISO 1600)...

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

It would be good advice, but Camera FV-5 with a smartphone that allows RAW capture and long exposures is way better than a $200 dlsr -- many more settings, intervelometer, etc. (all very doable, Samsung's just allowing RAW and taking away L.E. with the S6 and S7....) Third party app makers are...

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

No, but watch this space, because I was just starting down the road.... I bought the Orion steadypix Pro smartphone adapter, cuz you really can do astrophotography with a smartphone nowadays. When I found out the S7 captured raw images and the S5 didn't, I pre-ordered the S7 because I knew I'd...

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

True enough - and thanks for your guidance - it's because the S5 was doing great, and I love Galaxies, and the S7 supports RAW image capture where the S5 didn't. But while they gave us RAW image capture with the S7, they took away the long exposure times!

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

True - but the S5 did it well, and the S7 doesn't, is my thing.

$700 for a phone, and LESS functionality for astrophotography? Also, shutter speed question

Yeah, but it was going well with the S5, is my thing. I don't want fantastic results - it's the feature REDUCTION that's driving me bonkers.
