Re: Looping Boot Screen. Please help! I'm about to leave and go out of town so I can really help as much as I would like but.. It would help if you provided a little more info. Like what Android version were you running when you tried to root? Also, what root method were you using? If all else...

    I hate this phone

Since you obviously bought the phone used, did you consider maybe that wasn't the first time it was dropped? I've had my Shift since February of last year and it has been dropped more time than I can count, not even a scratch.. Maybe be just a defective screen, but Gorilla Glass is known for...

need help rooting evo shift 2.3.4

There's been mixed reports with 2.3.4.. some say they have been able to use the same downgrade method, while others say they can't even get temp root. I didn't take the 2.3.4 update so I can't tell for sure the old method works but I do know some have had success.. As a last resort you can...

    pre-recs for major updates

I If your running stock 2.2 you shouldn't have any issues updating. Also, do you have temp or full root? If your already permanently rooted, why not just flash a Gingerbread ROM. It would be kinda pointless to update if you want to maintain root... And don't trade for the EVO.. :) To reply...

    Help Rooting 2.3.4

If I were you I would try without unlocking the boot loader. Once you unlock it, pretty much your phone is flagged. If you really just want to unlock it , I would think all other supported devices. You may want refer to this thread. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1478831...

    Help Rooting 2.3.4

I know for a fact that you can unlock with HTC dev, then follow the guide I posted. Really though its not going to hurt to try before... I know you can gain the temp root with 2.3.4 its just a matter of exploiting the hboot.. its not going to brick your phone if you follow the guide correctly...

    Help Rooting 2.3.4

You're going to have to downgrade to root. Read this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1357157 I don't know if this work with 2.3.4 since that update just rolled out...but it should. If not, you'll have to unlock the boot loader with htcdev.com then follow that guide. Its...

    2.77.651.3

This is a pretty big update. From what I've gathered, it will update you to Android version 2.3.4, plus radio and wimax...also updates your hboot to 0.99.0000, which probably locks down our current GB root method but supposedly unlock able through htcdev.com. Sent from my PG06100 using Tapatalk
