    How do you change the colour of the icons on a Huawei P10

    There's a Theme app. Launch it, click on me on the bottom of the screen there's an option which says customise. Launch that and there you can personalise the themes. Wallpapers, icons etc.

    Did you restrict those in order to save battery life when screen is locked?
