Is 16GB enough storage? [Moto X Pure Edition]

Re: MXPE 16GB owners - is it enough? They would stay, so to speak, because the only way to move apps to the SD card is to format it as adaptable storage and the phone would consider (and show and report) the SD card as internal storage. So, basically, it would show the internal storage as 16GB...

Security Update: February 2016 Rolling Out for Moto X Pure Edition

Re: Feb 2016 Security Update Rolling Out [Moto X Pure Edition] There are a lot of reports of LTE problems on the Nexus' with 6.0.1. Moto may be holding it back until it's fixed or just wait for 6.0.2 or 6.1 rolls out.

    Dead Moto X

I doubt Amazon would take it back since it's a user fault kinda of thing. Moto will definitely fix it though; you'll have to pay (not sure but likely $75-$150) but they will definitely fix it.

    Wi-Fi Calling: T-Mobile

Re: Considering buying this... couple quick questions WiFi calling is not enabled on the Pure for any carrier at this point.

Is the black model sold at Best Buy the same as the black model from Moto Maker?

Re: Considering buying this... couple quick questions Yup, same everything. They should all come from the same factories.

How seamless is the SD card integration in Marshmallow?

Re: Considering buying this... couple quick questions Shaky. I've heard good and bad. If you just want to use it for music, videos and photos then it works great. If you want to integrate it as system memory and move apps and stuff to it then be prepared to get a high speed, high quality card...

6.0 Marshmallow: How is your battery life after the update?

Re: Considering buying this... couple quick questions I didn't have the Moto X from 2014 but I have no battery issues. I've gotten 4:30 to 5:00 SoT over 12 to 14 hours and can go over 24 hours on light use days.

Will the Moto X Pure Edition get 6.0.1?

I'd say it depends on when 6.1 is slated to come out or 6.0.2. I would guess Moto has a general time frame from Google and if it's soon then Moto is likely just saving time and expense to wrap it all in with a slightly bigger update. The security updates need to be stepped up though. Carrier...

    HD Voice/VoLTE: AT&T

Re: HD Voice on AT&T I'm guessing AT&T just requires the phone be a AT&T branded phone in order to use VoLTE. I'm sure there is some radio settings or little bit of software from AT&T that turns it on and AT&T just does not give Motorola access to those radio settings or software. Carriers...

    6.0 Marshmallow: T-Mobile?

I'm wondering if the phones have to be certified and tested by each carrier in order to use WiFi calling; just like Band 12 needs to be with T-Mobile. I know there were a few reports here and there that T-Mobile made it painful and expensive to get unlocked phone certified for Band 12. Google...

    Considering a Moto X Pure

The only downside to the Pure that I have seen is the Moto's customer service is....lacking, to say the least. If the phone ever needs to be fixed prepare to battle for a few weeks. That said, the Moto X is the only phone I have ever had to have warranty work done on so the chances are slim...

    Considering a Moto X Pure

    1) it does not get the updates from Google, but from Motorola. That said it only took 2 months to get 6.0; no other device in the US has 6.0 outside of Nexus and HTC A9 as far as I know. So for a big update it was pretty timely. I would think 6.0.X updates and security updates would move faster...

    6.0 Marshmallow: T-Mobile?

Re: What us TMO? Most likely it is because T-Mobile has yet to certify the Pure for band 12 and the 6.0 updates turns that on so until T-Mobile gives the thumbs up for Band 12, Moto has to hold the update for anyone with a T-Mobile sim. It doesn't stop anyone from pulling the sim card or...

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition (24.11.18)

My home Wifi works ok, but I have issues with other Wifi networks doing the same. There seem to be plenty of WiFi bugs in MM; hopefully google gets on it quick as opposed to all the Lollipop crap that took a year to fix.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow for the Moto X Pure Edition (24.11.18)

When you check the battery stats you'll almost no drain. I leave my phone on my work desk all day and once day I just let it sit for 4 or 5 hours without touching it other then waving my hand over the phone or poking at the screen notification and I barely lost any battery (1% I think) and the...
