I've tried a few custom launcers and the notification bar is not transparent on any of them. Does anyone else have this issue or know how to correct it? It's very annoying and ugly looking.

I guess I don't care that much. It's a 500 dollar phone that will be crap in 2 years. If it gets ****ed up enough that its unusable I I'll just buy a new phone.

I went naked with my 4s for nearly 2 years, never had a major drop and theres a few scuffs on it but its still in relatively good condition. I hope its the same for this phone after 2 years.

the HTC lock screen only works with their own applications unfortunately. You'll have to install a launcher or a 3rd party lock screen notification application that supports gmail and any other applications you use.

Most Ones have tones of hardware defects as well so you might as well just stay with the S4. Remember that both phones were manufactured as cheaply as possible, one just used less cheap materials.

Anyone else having this problem? I have swype installed and set as my default keyboard. If I reboot the phone it always goes back to the default HTC keyboard and I have to go through the swype setup again. I have the newest version of swype that was in the playstore.
