    doesnt "Solve" the original source cause, but this does make it go away. only problem is now that if google play services needs updating, i won't know until another app tells me to, and i like being able to do it in advance.

    i have a problem directly related to the firmware upgrade. did a FULL wipe TAR file for 4.4.2 and i was on 4.3, which on that worked fine. now, nothing... on any computer, any cable, anywhere. sound FAMILIAR!!?? with device manager in windows open, i watch to see if there is a list refresh...

    Having this problem on my s3? Only did it on 4.3 and up. On 4.2.2 and 4.1.2 in my galaxy s3, it never even asked. On 4.3+ I understand it's some kind of new check to see if it's a hotspot or proxy. Any idea how to disable this extra step if rooted? I don't know how just now. I don't like it...

    One thing I must point out is that every phone has a slightly different location for the NFC chip. You have to kind of slide other phones up and down the battery cover to find the "sweet spot". Hope this helps.

    you do realize that the cover is not actually "removable", right? you have to dismantle the entire iphone and then cut the cables attached to it to "remove" it, as of the iphone 4g. anything earlier than that would just be a matter of disconnecting all the snap-in cables and removing the front...
