The iPhone SE 2020 basically just killed the Pixel 4a and other value flagships...

Not the iPhone nor the Pixel. I was talking about how there should be more good $400 options so people have a choice.

What really jumped at me from the article is how it already jumps to a conclusion almost immediately after the phone is released. Yes, the new SE has a much more powerful SoC and will more than likely be supported for far longer than Android flagships all in a much lower price. But this isn’t a...

Since it’s been brought up many times before, I thought I’d address it. Yes, I know you can find an older flagship on eBay for not much more than the price of an SE. If that’s you, more power to you. But you’re not the kind of person Apple is targeting.

The closest would probably be the Pixel 3A/4A with its 3 years of updates but I don't think any Android OEM has actually went beyond that. Regardless, you do make some concessions, and like everything, won't appeal to everyone. I do hope the Pixel 4A is good because then we would have 2 very...

At worst, it'll probably be like the iPhone 8, so basically good but unremarkable. Battery life will probably be below-average especially for heavy use. I do agree that the headline is far-fetched. I can sort of see why but I think the 4a will appeal to others who are willing to make a...

Like how the original SE was "unnecessary" because the iPhone 5S still ran iOS well at that time? Sheesh, guess they can't satisfy everyone.

It's the same principle as the previous SE. I don't get why people are so worked up over it. It's designed solely for people who want the old iPhone 6/7/8 design with the fingerprint sensor but also want more recent hardware. I feel that almost everyone who has complained about it were never...

The bolded part is exactly what those commenting on the AC articles have not even understood. This SE in terms of principle is exactly the same as the previous SE, in the sense that it mixes a current-generation processor and some of its accompanying hardware into a previous-generation body...

The iPhone SE 2020 basically just killed the Pixel 4a and other value flagships...

That's because it's the shell of an iPhone 8 with the innards of an iPhone 11. The fact that many components are essentially identical to the iPhone 8, with all the tooling, R&D and such all covered for meant that they could practically slap in the latest and greatest SoC among other things and...

I think that statement is a big stretch. My Note8 has 64GB of storage. Yes, it's got a 128GB microSD card inside but it's barely filled. 64GB is perfectly fine for what I use it for. My iPad Pro is 128GB but barely 35% of it is filled. Considering that a 128GB SKU is about $50 more and would...

IIRC, the 11 non-Pro is slightly larger. The Pro is smaller.

This is going to sell. Not just because it's a $399 phone with Apple's latest-and-greatest processor but also because it looks to be hitting right towards a specific target market; iPhone owners who want an upgrade with current-gen hardware but also did not want to go to the iPhone X-design for...

How many mobile phones do you have now?

Quite a number, actually. But the ones I use the most are as follows; Galaxy Note8 - Daily driver Redmi Note 7 - Sidekick Moto Z with JBL Soundboost and Mophie Moto Mod - Media player

I'm somewhat over this addiction. I don't need to have the latest...

I still use my 2.5 year old Note8. Honestly, most of the new phones haven't been that tempting to me. I feel that phones have already matured long ago to the point where a phone like the Note8 or 9 just ages far more gracefully. There are some nice stuff in the new phones like the cameras, but...
