Why would anyone want this update. I found out to late and did the update, now I can't root my phone.

Ok, I just rooted my HTC Inspire with the Advanced Hack Kit from xda, I have superuser access. My question is at the moment I just want to get rid of the bloatware ATT put on the phone (thinking of putting in a new rom). But at this time I just want to get rid of somethings. How do I do this...
