You should also take into consideration customer service. Verizon has a reputation for taking care of their customers. I cannot comment for T-Mobile since I have never used them.

No, not really. I really like the aesthetics on the Droid more than the N1. Additionally, no one has commented on the battery life yet. The Droid is plenty fast on 2.0.1, so anything faster to me would not really matter.

Once Swype is release I'm buying it. Enough said.

I'm using the VZW leather case. I usually wrap my Droid in a thin microfiber cloth before it is stored in the case.

All three keyboards take some time and practice to get used to, however in the end they are all pretty good. Amazingly my favorite keyboard is now the vertical (portrait) one, the update really increased the accuracy.

I've always just created a csv file and then imported that into Gmail. Then once my contacts were setup just sync the phone.

I can get around 12-18 hours on a single charge depending on usage. The longest I've gone on a single charge was 26 hours before the device powered down.

I was in the same boat as you not too long ago. Keep the Droid. I actually upgraded from a Tour and I do not miss it at all. Overtime your keyboard skills will get better...I'm sure of it.
