try uninstaling gmail app and redownloading from the market

what were u running when your phone was working??? rom? modem? kernel? what were u trying to flash?? and do you mean cwm4 acs recovery??? you have to make sure you wipe when installing a rom... now that your phone gets stuck at samsung logo.. can you still boot into recovery?

well ive been using starskyrom for the last 2 days and its been running great so far... i flashed camera shutter fix and logsprovider and now im good to go.. runniing this till i find a stable awesome themed rom...

it seems your launcher crashed. do u have launcher pro or touchwiz? or are u rooted? try going into your apps, pressing the menu button and click edit, then drag the icons u are missing on to the bottom menu

I was JUST about to post a thread about this. I dont know if it is just because it is now May, but in April I do not remember this happening... I probably would of noticed it quickly like this, you guys as well, I assume. here is a pic from my phone to show what we might be talking about:

You should try again and reinstall the ROM. Same thing, 3x wipe data cashe and dalvik. I had to try it twice, on the 2nd it worked fine. I just did it 2 days ago. Try this video: YouTube - How to Root Samsung Epic and flash SyndicateFrozenRom 1.1.0
