Hey look: engadget is reporting about the g2x quad band 3G issue

seriously...unless you have some piece of advertising that specifically says "able to work on AT&T 3g bands" just let it be. there's plenty of worse stuff that these companies get away with, see todays supreme court ruling for an example.

    First Impressions and User Reviews

Been using mine for a week as of today. I love nearly everything about it - the screen is great, speed is insanely fast and graphical ability is very impressive. 4G speeds aren't all that impressive, but that could easily be due to location, there aren't a lot of towers nearby and a lot of tall...

    Battery Use

okay, so i had the wifi off and it was connected to 4g...and in two hours, lost nearly 20% battery. So it's definitely something about the cellular radio. I checked the battery stats, no program was obvious and the cell radio didn't have a high 'time without signal'. Anyway...narrows it down at...

    Battery Use

So I was having some pretty bad battery drain problems - 10% in an hour, etc. Here's what I've done to fix it: 1) did a full wipe/reset charge cycle 2) used titanium backup to freeze the t-mobile apps 3) set wifi sleep settings to never in the last two hours, with the phone just sitting in my...

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

Build quality is great! The phone feels solid in hand, and the glass front is really nice. I think its gorilla glass? I'm a fan of the soft-touch plastic on the back, plus that metal strip is good for grip. Buttons have good travel...all in all, I'm very pleased. There have been some complaints...

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

It's pretty damn good. Ridiculously fast - I haven't noticed a single cpu delay. Only problem I have so far is the battery draining fast and bad reception. The battery thing appears common, but there's a bunch of possible solutions already talked about and I'm hoping that gets fixed. there's...

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

On my new contract I know from the start that I don't get an upgrade until 2 years. Like I said, I don't have a problem with Sprint changing the terms for in the future, it was taking away an upgrade I already had available that frustrated me. But yeah, if I had a SERO plan I might've thought...

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

I only have one line, so the prices are basically the same across carriers (i don't use that much data so the 2gb cap at TM isn't a problem). But like I said, Sprint's service was fine, it's the phone selection and the stupid corporate decisions that turned me off. I don't think of myself as...

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

Yea...what can I say, I'm impatient and saw this lovely G2x available now and couldn't wait :). Mostly I guess I just don't like Sprints choices of phones to carry. Had the Nexus S been available on Sprint back in December, I would have bought it and not looked back. Now it just seems dated (i...

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

Had there been a phone that I really wanted and that was available, I would have tried calling and seeing about getting the upgrade back. Didn't see the point in trying if I wasn't going to use it. So far the G2x is great - difference in speed between it and the Hero is night and day. Having a...

    From and Iphone4

I think it's possible...but you're pretty much going to have to sign up for a google account to get the best use out of the phone, so why not just use the gmail account for your contacts?

    Why I'm leaving Sprint

Y'know, I recognize that this makes me look impatient and a bit of a whiner, but here goes. I became eligible for a new phone upgrade last October - still rocking the Hero I purchased on launch day. They didn't have any phones I wanted - Evo was too big, and I didn't want a keyboard. So I...

    Release Date?

I just picked up a G2X this morning - back of the box says Rated for: M3. Hope this helps!

    G2X retail sales - other than T-Mobile

So just wanted to share: I printed out a copy of the Cellhub G2X page showing the price of $49.99, walked to the T-Mobile kiosk at my mall, showed it to him and asked if they would price match. He said "Sure"! So I am now the proud owner of a new G2X - total cost $49.99 + tax. I know that...
