Nevermind... due to an AT&T software update, my phone was bricked, and I mean hard bricked. No boot loader, no indication of life whatsoever. That's the kind of input I was hoping for. There is/was a series of "development" codes... ... but none of the dozens of listed "hacks" had anything to deal with the call summary screen. Thanks to those who respond validly.

I'm running the standard AT&T distributed, unrooted, unhacked OS. You must not be. In call progress... After I hit End Call... stays on for 3-5 seconds... As usual, I'm the only one with the problem. :roll:

Wow, no response in a month and a half? I'm shocked that no one else is annoyed by this "call summary screen". It's really freakin' annoying!

I have tried several times... it always errors out stating "cannot contact AT&T server", then when I try again, it states "Sorry, 24 hours has not elapsed". I shouldn't have to do this anyway as I purchased the phone in December and it SHOULD have had a somewhat current update then.

Congratulations on living a lint free life. Maybe I should sue Maytag, the manufacturer of my washer and dryer, for their ineffectiveness to completely remove all lint from my clothing during washing and subsequent drying.

I happen to like the covered USB port, which necessitates a recessed configuration. I keep my phone in my pocket and my previous smart phones require constant USB port cleaning to keep lint and such out so that I can plug the phone in. The Captivate, so far, has not required a single cleaning.

My Captivate nulls all my Email accounts at random. I have an Exchange Server account, an IMAP webmail account, and Gmail. About once a week I'll click the email icon on the home screen and it takes me to the new email account setup. VERY frustrating.
