Verizon (USA) does not use GSM.

For anyone else with this problem, Straight Talk said there is no way to fix this issue.

If you go to Settings > Security > Phone Administrators, after installing Package Disabler Pro and granting permission, you will see the app listed. My phone is not rooted. I have considered rooting, but all I really need is to not be bothered by certain unneeded apps.

Re: Galaxy S4 verizon OF1 update - Error during install Not sure it will help, but you could try Samsung Kies 3 on your computer. My phone said no update available, but Kies downloaded and installed OF1 without issue.

I use an app called Package Disabler Pro. It disables any app on the phone (be careful), and they no longer update. It is also reversible if you disable the wrong one. The app is not deleted. No rooting required, but you have to grant admin privileges to the app.

Search on Google Play for "Screen Timeout Toggle" app. A home screen widget will allow to keep screen on as long as you like.

I THINK you open settings> more> Developer options> (turn on if you haven't already) and put check in USB debugging.
