AC editors have the Note 10+ in-hand and we're answering your Q's!

Not that I can tell. It appears to be the same sensor with the same endemic speed issues as on the S10 series. The sensor's also placed a little higher up on the screen (at least on the Note 10+) which took me a bit to get used to but it shouldn't be an issue after a couple of days.

Yep! Holding those two buttons now triggers the power menu but if you quickly hold power + down volume you take a screenshot. I still prefer the palm method, which works really well.

Yes, all Note 10 units come with a built-in screen protector. It's flimsy and plastic and gets dented really easily, but I'm leaving mine on for as long as possible to see how it holds up. If you're super scared of scratches, I'd invest in a good tempered glass protector if you're worried about it.

Honestly, I think they're vastly improved over the Galaxy Note 9 and S10 series, but I don't think my colleagues will agree. They're tighter and more granular, especially while typing, and overall I'm pretty happy with them. They're not quite Pixel 3 or iPhone good, but they're better.

Hey, Daniel here. We just got a few Note 10+ units into the studio and because there's no review embargo, we thought we'd take a few questions from you fine folks. So ask away — what are you curious about with the Note 10+? We'll spend a couple days checking back here for new questions, and...

Android Central - Back To School Q&A

Hi Linda, That's a great question. We'll start with phones. The most durable phones are made with plastic, like the new Google Pixel 3a, or phones that have thick, heavy duty cases from companies like Spigen or OtterBox. If you're getting your student a new phone, make sure to check out a...

Android Central - Back To School Q&A

Hi Sherry, thanks for the questions! Chromebooks have become much more powerful and capable over the past few years, and match MacBooks and Windows laptops in most things, except for a few minor areas like video editing and playing games. I think you'll be pretty happy with a Chromebook issued...

How do you set up your Android homescreen and icons?

Hey! We (the AC editors) just posted a roundtable on how we set up our phones, and while I know there are a lot of those kinds of posts in various device forums, I wanted to create one where everyone can post theirs in one place. So here's your opportunity: tell us what phone you have, what...

    connected + coffee

Well, I don't think connected coffee machines or Bluetooth travel mugs make coffee taste better, but there is an argument to be made for something like Ember, which keeps your coffee at a particular temperature, which is a good thing. https://embertech.com/

I have a Galaxy S8 in my hands — AMA!

Unfortunately not! There's no reason it won't technically work with Daydream, but Samsung doesn't want you using Google's VR platform. It wants you to use the Gear VR!

There are no BT5.0 products to test at this point, so I can't say. And as for remapping Bixby, well I received an update to the phone a day before the embargo and that closed the loophole to allow the button to be remapped. :(
