This worked for me on my old iPhone. It had been dropped in water and left for a day until this arrived. I did exactly what the instructions said to do and after 24hours I had a perfectly good working phone. Lasted another year before I broke the screen and then just had it recycled.

I have no idea mate. I'm not sure if there is another way. I haven't really looked into it.

I use this one. It's great quality (better than the cheaper ones) and it's good to be able to keep my cards with my phone. Only downside is it hides the back of the phone :(

Thank you, I hope that it is true :). Once/If I receive an update I will try and relock my bootloader just incase before I update. I'm just hoping I will get an update as I read if TWRP or anything has been installed before it can stop the device receiving the update.

You need to flash the stock recovery 1st dude. Extract the OTA update you have downloaded and somewhere in that will be "recovery.img". You then want to flash that recovery using the toolkit and then hopefully all will be well!

Hmm that's odd! Do you have the OTA update saved to your phone? I know you can extract the recovery from that if you have it.
