Thanks itic, that was the other problem, often drain while charging and being used. Car no problem as hardly use it unless necessary there, but at home all the problems.

Got a Moto G6 a few weeks ago (not the Play or Plus). Android Oreo. The charging cable that came with it works great, but seems a tad loose, but I need more than 1 cable around, and too short for my other uses except for night time charging. I since bought a 10 foot USB-A to USB-C cable on ebay...

Thanks djrakowski, I'll get an S5 for now, and will give me time to see what to do later. Biggest concern is my current Sammy Galaxy Core Prime is getting way too slow and don't want to mess with it till I get another phone, at least the S5 has 2X the memory. May consider the Moto's later...
