I am just curious, as I've read in the reviews that the battery takes a hit if you are using wimax. Are the good battery life comments coming with wimax enabled or just 3G?

I don't think that the rooted stock allows shortcuts. I believe you have to use Froyo, CM7 or Honey Comb.

No. The overclock kernal needs to be applied to each of the different install. If you install the overclock kernal on the emmc stock rooted rom, it only affects the emmc stock rooted rom, as the installation on the SD card will not boot or use the information in the emmc.

1.1 has issues with CWR. You need to download the 1.0.1 stock zip and start from scratch or you can download one of the ROMs from xda nook forum.

It works for me with rooted stock 1.1. I folowed the instruction to revert back to 1.0.1, updated to 1.1 and rooted with AN 3.0. Afterwards, I downloaded slingbox from the market, and it ran just as it did with 1.0.1. I'm also curious as how anyone is able to get to work with Froyo Nookie...

Okay, from my limited testing. It looks like slingbox does not want to work with the Froyo Nookie on SD -- 5.9 or the 6.7. It works fine with the rooted stock -- 1.0.1 and 1.1. Has anyone tried it on the Froyo Nookie installed on internal memory. I would image it doesn't work there either...

if you are running Froyo, not everything is working. For the apps you are listing try the rooted stock. You might miss out on Flash, but until Froyo is fully working it is not worth it.

I got mine off the Market finally. Used step #2 from the tips posting on froyo nook. I did pay for mine, when I bought for my phone. I got the same result as OP. if there is a solution, please let us know. Thanks.
