Back when I had a treo or palm pre, it was no contest against a touch screen. Just because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it doesn't work for everyone else. It's funny because no one wanted to get used to touch screen typing when it first came out. I hated it and I'm still not a huge fan...

I was expecting it to be. The z2 was shown last year. Maybe they aren't staying in their 6 month release schedule anymore? Unless they have a showing for this soon after.

This has been an issue on the z2 since I've had it as well. It most likely is a liability issue Sony is trying to negate. I believe some custom roms take care of it if it's that big of a deal

This is the same on the Z2, I think the ring tone may be the same as well. Some people were speculating it as a safety issue because you could put the phone up to your ear and have someone call you at the same time. Think the phone automatically goes to speaker when a headset is disconnected so...

From my experience Sony phone do have lower output but they do sound better. I'd go with the recommendation above and try power amp out. My z2 has the same issue but I don't notice it because I run noise canceling headphones.

WiFi calling won't work unless you get a custom rim with it pulled from an older Sony phone. My Z2 didn't have it out of the box like a t-mobile branded phone would
