Google to sell Motorola Mobility to Lenovo for $2.91 billion

Re: Lenovo reportedly set to buy Motorola from Google for up to $3 billion And they're buying IBM's Server hardware business too. So Lenovo has computers and tablets and will now have servers and Smart phones. Why isn't this making the US Government nervous? Why are they so okay with Lenovo but...

[Closed] Win one of two Nexus 5 devices from Android Central!

Oh yes. Provided one of these beauties will work on SPRINT, I'd definitely take one. Send it home to DADDY!!!!

How to get my Sprint e-mail address off of it

What "data thing"? I can't sell this thing to anyone with my information on it and I can't find any method to wipe my info off it. I've done several factory resets. A factory reset is suppose to render the phone unprogrammed, isn't it? Why does the phone still have my info in it if it is wiped...

New to tablets, want xoom but should I wait for xoom 2?

Did they ever get the SD card slot working on the Xoom yet? I'm considering replacing an old laptop with a Xoom but am on the fence, as some new laptops are in the same price range. Also, has anyone heard if the original Xoom will get the ICS upgrade?

How to get my Sprint e-mail address off of it

I also tried the following, which did not wipe my Sprint e-mail address from storage: 1.Turn the power off. 2.Hold the Volume Down button 3.Press and release the Power button 4.You are now presented with a menu that allows for Fastbook, Recovery, Clear Storage, and Simlock 5.Select Clear...

How to get my Sprint e-mail address off of it

Ok. The phone is no longer in service. So that didn't tell me anything. As stated, when I go into Menu/settings/About Phone/Phone Identity/Current Username, it shows my Sprint e-mail address. I can't sell this phone with my information on it. I've done two factory resets and the e-mail address...

How to get my Sprint e-mail address off of it

Bump. One of you Smartphone experts must have the answer to this? I am going to try Menu/setting/privacy/factory data reset and see what happens.

How to get my Sprint e-mail address off of it

I did a hard reset in preparation to E-Bay my EVO 4G with accessories. I went into it to make sure that all of my contacts, apps, and data are removed and it still has my sprint.com e-mail address listed in the "about" section. How do I get that info off the phone, since a Hard Reset didn't do it?

[Official] Gingerbread Update - Bugs, New Apps, etc.

But hey, if you do a "factory reset", that should cure every problem you've ever had with the phone, since the Gingerbread update. That's "well documented on these forums", isn't it? A factory reset is the cure for that, right? But what will a factory reset do if you are rooted?

    Swap Photon for Evo 4g?

A major OS update should not REQUIRE a factory reset to work. Rooting should not be REQUIRED for it to work. If you check some other threads, you'll find that a factory reset was a temporary solution for some people in some cases, and is not the be all/end all defacto solution that works for...

[Official] Gingerbread Update - Bugs, New Apps, etc.

Some people aren't interested in having to root a phone or do a factory reset just to get it to work the way it did originally with Froyo. I rooted my phone, deleted my Exchange e-mail account, and moved all apps to SD card that could be moved. It appears that the memory leak and white screen...

    Swap Photon for Evo 4g?

I shouldn't have to do a factory reset to fix a phone that was working fine with Froyo. I shouldn't have to root a phone to get it to work right like it did with Froyo. The phone worked fine out of the box until I installed the Gingerbread update and many have had the same problems. The...

    Swap Photon for Evo 4g?

But won't that delete everything off my phone and cause me to have to reinstall everything? Did you say Sense 3.0??? Are those two you mentioned better than Cyanogenmod 7? And why can't I Uninstall the Bloatware? It's all greyed out.

    Swap Photon for Evo 4g?

No, but I just got done rooting, so we shall see if Rooting makes it better. I'm not messing with any custom Rom's for now. I just want to delete Bloatware and reclaim some memory so this thing works long enough to get me to December.

    Swap Photon for Evo 4g?

Check the memory leak thread here: http://forums.androidcentral.com/htc-evo-4g/113424-yes-another-post-about-phone-memory-2.html There have been reports of memory leaks since the Gingerbread Update and the problem continues to happen to quite a number of EVO owners. If your EVO came with...
