This is a long running issue with Android. It will get taken care of eventually but till then try Best WiFi on the app store. it has a settable level for the AP before it switches connections.

I have never found a need for antivirus. Maybe there is a need but I am not sure. I would guess you could direct download it from a QR tag online somewhere onto your phone and then install from unknown sources in the security settings checked.

seems sorta normal for me. I have one. They run hot when you use them in their stock rom setup. VenomROM and it will overheat less not to mention you can turn off all of the cores but 1 of the 8 if you really wanted. I find running it with all of them at 1200 MHz seems to work pretty good...

I would say the S6 or Note 4 just depending on screen size. If you are traveling and don't mind the size, definitely the Note 4. I have watched entire seasons of shows while on international flights on a 5" screen and while that isn't terrible the extra size would be appreciated.

yea pure android experience is really the way to go. Nothing seems to ever slow it down and it runs for days.

you shouldn't have a problem. electronics don't like heat this is for certain but at the same time they can deal with temps up to water boiling (in some matter of speaking) so I don't know that you have to worry. If you physically can't hold your phone then maybe you need to worry.
