What is the best Rom out currently?

The CM9 nightlies based on aokp (4.03) are among the best. They've increasd the volumes of the notifications, ringtones and speaker. And they can all be further adjusted using the built in DSP manager. The screen colors and gamma are also adjustable. This will be the rom I'm staying with.

Iphone fans to wussy for bigger phone/screen

If they want to stay relevant they are going to have to increase the screen size or at least offer models with different sizes. Yeah I thought 3.7 was OK too until I tried a larger 4.5 inch screen. Now anything under 4 seems way too small and uncomfortable. As for one handed operation? All my...

How come no one gives gummy any love?

Finally rooted and installed Gummy. So far I'm loving it! I was a rom whore on the og Droid but I don't see myself switching around too much. This is a keeper!

    Lagging already?

Nope, haven't had that kind of lag. Maybe the occasional launcher crash and recover for a couple seconds but that's it. And definitely, NO THIRD PARTY TASK MANAGERS. I use the built-in cardview manager and it gets the job done.

    GPS lock

This is the first phone I've ever had where the GPS locked so quickly. Never had to reboot for it to work like with other phones either. In fact, I had no data signal a couple days ago, and the GPS still locked and tracked, however I could not use the NAV. I was still very impressed! Like...

RANT: Nexus "the developers phone" and updates argument

So if no one is complaining, what's the point of the RANT? Obviously there IS a complaint? Get it? And please I won't stoop to your level and call you a name even though you deserve it. Regardless of who it is, if the phone isn't living up to your standards, take it back. Also, the energy...

RANT: Nexus "the developers phone" and updates argument

You had 30 days to return it if it wasn't your cup of tea. Not sure what good is a rant after the fact. Also, please name a single phone that is without glitches. And don't even mention the iPhone because I can post a wall of text describing its issues.

Galaxy Nexus- Close But No Cigar

Well that's the chance the OP took by starting a flame bait thread. I'm not condoning personal insults but it's to be expected considering the subject matter and presentation.

Galaxy Nexus- Close But No Cigar

LOL, what the OP got was honest responses from those who didn't agree. His post came off more like a 'here's why the iphone 4s is better' than a real discussion. And anyway, these types of threads i.e "I just dumped my x phone for y" never end well. He'd have better luck with a thread like...

Galaxy Nexus- Close But No Cigar

What app are you using to listen with? There are several good apps in the Market that make a difference - one that comes to mind is Winamp. Also are you using an equalizer? There are many variables to consider.

Galaxy Nexus- Close But No Cigar

This is exactly what came to mind when I read his post. The supplied ear buds are crap. I have some decent ones and on the GNex they sound outstanding! The fact that he would judge the sound quality using those are a little perplexing. The only audio issue I've run into is the lower than...

    Do you leave 4G on?

This should be a poll. I leave it on all the time. I have an extended battery, spare and chargers everywhere, I don't worry about battery life.

Pictures Taken With Your Galaxy Nexus!

After taking some daylight shots, I have to say this camera isn't nearly as bad as it's being made out to be. I am using a third party app though: camera360. I used this app on my Droid X and now it seems to do wonders for the GNex.

    Disappointed with Soft Keys

Damned if you do, damned if you don't. If the keys were programmable people would have complaints about that too. I can live with hard keys, but I love soft keys and the ones on the Nexus have been particularly responsive and consistent. I also like that they disappear when viewing video.
