If you want actual multi-tasking, try webOS. Pausing or stopping a background app isn't multi-tasking. Just a minor note there.

I got mine in early Oct, 2010, but rooted and rom'ed within 24 hours. I didn't even look at the stock interface, so no clue on apps being restricted. I know my wifes mt4s doesn't have any app restrictions on Google Play. -- Sent from my TouchPad using Communities

OK, been tinkering with a 509 all night, and this is what I have see going on with batt life vs OC. Running SetCPU, you need to set up profiles, as ondemand scaling doesnt seem to work. I have been simply running on performance setting with a 'screen off' profile and a 'battery' profile to scale...

sasquash, please elucidate. SetCPU crashes immediately on boot, and doesn't show anything higher than 800Mhz during setup. Even 1200 would work. =)
