Bumping this to see if anyone else has encountered this. I am using Hangouts for my SMS and while on a phone call no SMS sound notifications go off. I only see i have a new SMS AFTER I hang up the call.

Well, last night as I was charging my Nexus 5 I decided to take the plunge yet again and "strip" it of its case. I have been using it all day today without a case and plan on doing so all weekend. I may just end up keeping it naked. It feels just so good like that.

I had this happen to me for the first time today. I went to power off and it rebooted. It was rather unexpected as I had powered down twice previously and it powered down successfully.
