I'm using NonSense beta 1.04 from XDA forums and it has hot-spot "baked in". You do have to make some changes to the build.prop but it will work as a hot-spot. Do a search on XDA.

I have this happen randomly too. Sometimes wiping Dalvik and data from recovery fixes it. The best fix I've found is to do a Nandroid b/u once you have it set up the way you want it. Then if it does this you boot to recovery and restore the b/u. For some reason that fixes it every time. I...

UPDATE: I reflashed Gsnap 2 and flashed a2sd++ on top of it and then reinstalled all apps from backup. Things were a little laggy and slow here and there, but after letting it settle in a bit it got better. I also flashed amphetamines after restoring apps and that seemed to help some as well. I...
