I believe that the answer lies in the two "Play tone when Call connects" and "Play tone when Call Ends" switches. For some reason my settings are corrupted. Are there any methods of resetting just this part of the phone (NOT a full reset).

mustang7757: I am confused. I DO want to hear the notification sound on all apps and SMS - everything except phone calls. I want to only hear the Ringtone sound for the phone. If I do your suggestion I won't hear a notification sound for SMS. Am I missing something?

Also, I have read that sometimes clearing the cache works in similar situations. I did this with no change in the problem.

RE: B. Diddy's last post. When I turn notification sound to zero I do not hear anything. I need to hear my notification sound for SMS so when I turn the sound volume back up it errors the same way on a phone call.

It comes over the main speaker. Volume is what you would expect based on the main volume setting for notification sounds.
