How about trying the "Greenify" apps to see what apps are running the background? These apps can be draining the battery and also keep the phone from going into doze mode

That's awesome. I have the AT&T SD820 version. From what I read, somehow the AT&T version has poorer battery life than T-Mobile version (also SD820)... go figure.

By the way, this Nov 8 AT&T software update for S7 / S7 edge is for security patch level of October 1, 2016. Not the latest Nov 1 patch which TMO customers already getting.

Some apps are preventing the phone from going into doze mode... Try greenify app to see which apps are running, then uninstall or hibernate them. Turning off automatic updates also help.
