    Disabling Secure Lockscreen (Lollipop)

Okay, I've done everything on this topic, but am no closer to getting what I want, which is -Screen lock to be on Pattern -Automatically lock to be off (there is no such option) -Screen lock to be activated manually, only by the installed 'Lock Screen Widget' app. A button you can put on your...

    Disabling Secure Lockscreen (Lollipop)

Bump. Kind of hoping for some help on this. Really sick of unlocking phone all the time. Would like the lockscreen widget to work without screen lock having to be active.

Yup, clear credentials is right there. But it's greyed out. Any ideas? As well, I have an option whether to 'Allow phone calls' for guest, but not to remove guest.

Crap, just noticed another problem. My headset doesn't work for phone calls anymore. It's just for phone calls (including Hangouts Dialer [using wifi]), the microphone works fine up until a call goes through. Pretty sure this is a Lollypop issue as never a problem before.

Yup, got it now. Thanks. When it's in Battery saving mode, it's a good looking icon. When it's in High Accuracy (GPS), it goes to a flat white ugly geometric arrow - Ugly is ON.

Well, yes and no. You did suggest the widget, but you gave no details. Thanks though, should have listened harder. Got another one for you: Muting. I use Mute (from MNO / android store), and it mostly works. Except that when I unmute, everything but Media comes back. As I use a song for my...

I'll be dammed, so it does. Thanks. It doesn't INDICATE the change (the bottom light bar stays lit), so I have to manually confirm, which kind of defeats the purpose, but maybe they'll fix that.

This is my experience. Which is why I leave Location Mode on Battery Saving. I do use and like Google Now, but don't need precise locations unless I'm driving and need navigation (Waze). I also keep the screen only as bright as needed, and have zero battery problems (comfortably lasts all day)...

I'm also not loving the new Location pull down. I like to leave the mode on battery savings, and only turn on High Accuracy (GPS) when I'm navigating in my car. But I have to go through the settings menu to change between those two states (the pull down location button toggles between GPS or...

Exactly. So in 2014, more than a decade after OS X came out with the aqua interface, Apple is FINALLY allowing customers who buy their expensive hardware and software an OPTION to have dark backgrounds with light text. There's NO WAY they would have done that without knowing that giving people...

that's nerd talk. People absolutely buy a mac over a PC because OSX is nicer, and people are dumb, and often will spend $500 on something because it looks like their other thing.

-You seem behind the times if you don’t think this is a major factor in decisions to buy iPhones, iPads, or Android. See OS X, iOS further merge with Yosemite, but how far is too far? | Digital Trends -You missed it. Too bad. All this time you could have had good looking screens, and now...

That's funny. I prefer Hangouts to Google Voice, but haven't switched them over as only Google Voice lets me download voice and text (and record calls from phone) from web browser. But hangouts lets me use wifi to make calls, so that's nice. Will have a look at Messenger.

    Disabling Secure Lockscreen (Lollipop)

I use the app 'lock screen widget' which gives me a handsome little button I can leave on home page, but I have to have security on for it to work. I set it at max 30 minutes, but what I'd really like is for the button to activate security, and not have it activated otherwise. Any ideas? Thanks.
