Finally have my S5 set up to my liking...well, almost. Having some weird lockscreen issues. One I noticed today was that it changed songs while it my pocket. I was using spotify. Screen was off and locked when I put it in my pocket but I had some nils notifications that may have caused the phone...

Had the same issue. Went from above 40 to 15% in less than an hour while not using the phone. Nightmare situation to lose phone at work. Tried the steps above to see if that fixes the issue. I also turned off 'always ready to connect'

I do miss some things about my iphone 4... Better notification control, smoother operation, more quality apps... BUT I love my new phone even if it feels like I came home from the store with the wrong child sometimes... Bigger screen, obviously faster than my 4, customizable keyboard I can...

Another newbie question: I find the dialer on my s5 to be the worst part and especially miss the voicemail on my old iphone... I am going to DL the ATT visual voicemail app but if I choose to use google voicemail, do I get any additional features through the dialer? Is there any benefit?

I can't do it either... Was looking to get it to work then replace with Google Voice... ATT doesn't seem to have car mode, that may be the problem.

Thanks. I used Light manager or something today to get some custom ones for when the screen is off and NILS is working great so far. Just need to let it be for a few days and see if anything weird happens.

That's what I ended up using after searching the forums today :) Thanks so much! It isn't perfect but it is a workaround that is 90% effective... acts a bit weird during blocking mode and is a tad ugly but gets it done. Interesting to see if I could just give up having lock screen notifications...

I'd just like my messages to appear on the lock screen with an indicator of who it is from but without revealing what the message text itself says. That was I can choose to open the message if I deem the sender important but don't reveal any info that may be sensitive without unlocking my phone...
