Even a Pixel 2 is an excellent phone with a great camera and will get many of the software features from the 3 but can be bought for less if you shop around.

I'm thinking 64 GB is probably good enough since all of the Pixel 3 pics get backed up with Google photos. I bought a 128 GB Pixel 2 and think I could have saved a little money by getting the 64 GB one because I have not come close to using even 64 GB on my 2.

Google doesn't need a second camera because they do all the magic through software. And they do a really good job with it and the AI tech.

If you're happy with your old phones setup and all the apps on it then the auto transfer is the way to go imo. When I see my pixel 2 from iPhone the auto setup even transferred pics and text messages, which to me was handy cause I didn't want to lose any of that. But if you feel you don't want...

Oh wow. That sounds like a hardware defect for sure. And if it's only a couple of people, then it's just maybe a small lot defect. Hopefully that's all it is and not a major hardware flaw.

That wallpaper kind of feels in line with the dark mode theme. Wish they would've had that for the 2. I don't recall seeing it and haven't tried searching for it, but will when I have some free time.

Yeah that black Friday deal of $400 off certainly is tempting but I am still really happy with my 2. And should be getting most of the software features from the 3 on my 2. Night sight is pretty amazing. Anxiously awaiting the call screening.

I'm on a 2 and still waiting for it since I heard yesterday that it's rolling out to the 2's. This is a feature I'm truly excited about. Glad I can see the questions from those that have it already since it may make it smoother when I get it.

From what I'm seeing the deals aren't as good as last year's $300 off without having to trade in anything. That deal is what convinced my to buy my 2.

I agree with the other comments. If you're ok with the notch then the 3xl is the way to go, but if you don't like the notch then either the 3, 2, or 2xl would be the way to go. I have a 2 and really like it. The best thing about it is the timely updates.
