Why am I doing this? I factory resetted my wife's HTC One M8 after getting her a 3T so that I can start using it. What I forgot was to backup pictures and videos. Struggling for several days and having tried many apps which attempts to find lost media, I could recover some images but no videos...

Thanks. This solved the exact problem in my Note2. I'm not sure of repercussions of uninstalling updates for Google App as it took it back to factory version though.
